National Institute of Fashion Technology Patna is a government institution located in Patna. The institute was founded in 2008 and was formerly located in Udyog Bhavan, Gandhi Maidan but shifted to its permanent campus at Mithapur Farms in 2014. The college is one of 18 NIFT campuses across the country and offers admissions based on the NIFT Entrance Exam.

No, you cannot join National Institute of Fashion Technology Patna directly. You need to qualify in the entrance exam in order to take admission. The entrance exam is conducted by the university which is NIFT test. This exam contains various levels or steps like aptitude test, situation test, group discussion etc. Students need to qualify in the entrance exams and the cutoff. The cutoff will be released according to the number of seats and applicants. After the student qualifies in the cutoff he/she will pass through final admission steps and will get the final admission.
Yes, the National Institute of Fashion Technology will allow candidates with late fees. NIFT Patna Admission Process and Dates 2025
NIFT Patna admission is entrance-based. NIFT Patna offers various courses such as BDes, BFTech, MFM, MDes, and MFTech, among others. There are many specialisations in B Des course at National Institute of Fashion Technology. The specialisations include:-

Each of these specialisations have approximately 44 seats intake. The total seat intake for B Des course is 176 seats. The cutoff will be released according to the number of seats only. Seeing the number of seats available students need to have a good rank in the university entrance test, in order to take admission.
The following is the selection process for B Des at National Institute of fashion technology.
1.The students need to fill the online application form from the Institute's official website with all necessary details like 12th, 10th marks etc.
2.After filling the application form student will be called to qualify for the NIFT test which includes aptitude tests, group discussions etc. after that the students need to wait for the cutoff.
3.If the students qualifies in the cutoff, the NIFT counselling will take place.
4.After counselling, the students will be given the final admission.
Talking about the minimum NIFT entrance marks required, it totally depends on the seats available, and the cutoff. The cutoff rank which was required for BDes in fashion Designer in 2023 was 1692. All other specialisations will have different ramks.
The total seat intake of NIFT Patna BDes is 176 seats. The seats are equally divided among the four specialisations, that is, the seat intake for each specialisation is 44.
