If we compare some particular courses offered at Bihar National College, Patna University and at Magadh Mahila college then it can be said that B.N. college is less expensive than Magadh Mahila college. For B.A. (Hons) the fee at B. N. College is Rs.1,858 (for first year) while Rs. 6,257 (for first year) at Magadh Mahila college.

IIT Patna charges one time fees of  Rs 20000 which includes caution money of Rs 15000 to institution and Rs 5000 to hostel. Caution money will get refunded at the end of your degree to your respective bank account.

Complete fees for B.Tech is about 12 Lakhs and for M.Tech and M.Sc is about 2.5 Lacs in IIT Patna. Scholarships are also available at IIT Patna  on the basic of family annual income.

Tution fees of IIT Patna is like all the IITs which is 100000rs per semester. Total fees of IIT Patna for one semester is about 145000rs which includes your instituion fees, hostel rent and mess fees.

But IITs also provide scholarships based on annual income of the family whose details are given below-

1)100% Tuition Fee waiver for SC/ST/PH students.

2)Full remission of the Tuition Fee for General and OBC students whose family income is less than Rs.1 Lacs per annum.

3)Remission of 2/3rd of the Tuition Fee for General and OBC students whose family income is between Rs.1 Lacs to Rs.5 Lacs per annum.

Aspirants fulfilling the minimum eligibility required for the course admissions and with a valid MAT/CMAT score can apply. The students might have to register on the university admission portal as well. Patna University allot seats to students who meet the minimum eligibility, have a valid exam score, and performance in GDPI.

As of now, the University has released the median package for UG and PG courses. When comparing the past three years' data (2021 to 2023), a declining trend was observed in the PG (3-year) and PG (2-year) courses median package. Alongside, the median package for UG (3-year) courses has dropped from 2021 to 2022 and was the same in past two years. As per the details fetched from the NIRF report 2024, the highest number of students placed in the 2023 drive were from the UG (3-year) courses.
