The departmental electives are divided into three categories in the NIT Patna integrated MSc in Chemistry curriculum. Each category has four subjects in it. Mentioned below are some of the departmental electives offered by the institute:

NIT Patna admit candidates to the BSc-MSc integrated courses based on merit in the JEE Main exam. Aspirants who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the entrance exam through NTA official website. The institute may release its separate application form as well for the course admission. Further, after conclusion of the application process, a merit/selection list is released based on which the seat allotment is done. NIT Patna BSc - MSc seat allotment is done based on merit in JEE Main score. The institute has a certain seat intake for each of the integrated BSc+MSc course.
