With a Lund University acceptance rate of 58% it can be deciphered that the university is moderately tough to get into for local and foreign students alike. As per the latest reports the most popular SAS course offered by the Faculty of Humanities and Theology,  Introduction to Scandinavian Culture and Society, saw 127 applications for 2025, of which 59 were accepted, making the acceptance rate 46.4%.

Yes an estimated 12,800+ students at Lund University are international students with 130+ nationalities. Moreover 40% of all of the staff at the university is international while 42% of teachers and researchers as well as 27% of technical and administrative staff, represent a non Swedish country at Lund.

There are 46,000 international students currently enrolled on the Lund campus 28% of whom are international students. Out of these 1,300 are outgoing exchange students, 1,900 are incoming exchange students while 12,700 come under other international students. There are 2,800 Research students of whom 51% are foreign students.

The Lund University acceptance rate of 58%. The Chalmers University of Technology acceptance range typically between 80-90%, making it much more easier to secure admissions at.

Students interested in admissions to either institute are required to maintain solid academic scores & a professional resume highlighting other skills, as both Lund & Copenhagen have shown a tendency to be picky to varying extents & priortising highly qualified candidates.

Students must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria including proof of upper secondary education for UG, and a bachelor's degree from an internationally recognised university for PG. Students must perform extremely well in academics, and participate in extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and gain relevant work experience to increase their selection probability.
