It depends on which course you would like to choose in NIT, Trichy. Like the main courses which have high demand which is not possible but the courses which have quite less demand might be available. Even your category comes into consideration here at the time of counselling.

Hi Abhishek, generally BIM cut off for SC stays around 60-65 percentile, however depending on the influx of application cut-off may vary. At 50% you have a pretty low chance of getting the call.

Hi Raj,BIM follows Tamil Nadu reservation policies it has most of the reserved seats under SC, ST, BC and BCM categories, as CAT cut off do vary year to year basis. If you come under above-mentioned categories, you can go for an attempt, you might get an interview call based on your profile. Other colleges I can refer are LIBA and NIT Trichy. On a comparison between the two given colleges Dorms NIT Trichy is better for MBA. Since, Doms NIT Trichy have quite good placements in Finance and Marketing with students getting placed in top banks and other financial institutions in interdisciplinary roles like Sales and Marketing, Market research, financial analytics, Portfolio management etc., with Sales and Marketing fetching the highest salary package.

NIT, Trichy has been ranked one among the NITs for a while now whereas NIT, Surathkal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11th while NIT, Warangal stands at 22nd rank. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar.
