As per the last trends, BIM, Trichy requires the following CAT percentile (without sectional cut-off) as under-
1. For general category 86.5 and above
2. For OBC/PWD/DA categories 70 and above
3. For SC/ST categories 50 and above

No, NIT Trichy has very stringent norms like other NITs against racial discrimination or ragging. NIT Trichy being one of the premier institutions offering quality education has taken all measures to ensure no such incidents ever happen in its premises. IIT JEE Mains paper 2 marks have to submitted to get a rank list from the premier institution.

According to the latest NIRF ranking following is the order:-
1. NIT, Trichy
2. NIT, Warangal
3. BITS, Hyderabad
However, BITS and NIT, Warangal holds the same rank for CSE, but NIT, Trichy is the best institute for CSE. Top rankers in JEE Mains gets the chance to choose CSE in NIT, Trichy.

It also depends on marks you got in JEE. ST category required less marks as the cutoff is low. So all the best.
