On a comparison between the two given colleges Dorms NIT Trichy is better for MBA. Since, Doms NIT Trichy have quite good placements in Finance and Marketing with students getting placed in top banks and other financial institutions in interdisciplinary roles like Sales and Marketing, Market research, financial analytics, Portfolio management etc., with Sales and Marketing fetching the highest salary package.

NIT, Trichy has been ranked one among the NITs for a while now whereas NIT, Surathkal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11th while NIT, Warangal stands at 22nd rank. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar. Hello Kavitha, I am sure you would have obtained this percentile from the first set of JEE Mains conducted by NTA. Right? However be informed that NTA is going to conduct one more set of JEE Mains in the month of April. Results of both these tests would be combined to make merit list and associated cutoff. Due to this I would advise caution & patience. Wait till April to know cutoff. On the other hand you can think of appearing again to improve your percentile.

In fact, NIT Trichy is one of the best NITs, as far as the admission is concerned a min mark of 250+ is required for electronics, unless you belong to some reserved categories. You can check your eligibility on Shiksha's JEE Main rank predictor.
