The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate for the bachelor’s degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained the bachelor’s degree. The IIM Kashipur admission criteria includes qualifying CAT cut off percentile of 92 for General category students. For NC-OBC candidates, it is 74 percentile, for SC candidates it is 54 percentile whereas for SC and PwD candidates, it is 40 percentile. IIM Kashipur admission is planned in a two-phase manner.

IIM Kashipur has a placement cell. It is in charge of working with businesses for campus placements, giving students career counselling, and planning training and development initiatives. A group of seasoned professionals from the placement cell work with students to assist them in achieving their professional objectives.

If an individual misses the internal examination at IIM Kashipur, he or she shall be required to provide a statement of explanation to the institution. The institution's academic committee will review your application and make a decision as to whether or not you have been accepted for the re-exam. They will be permitted to take the test on a different date once their application has been approved. The student shall receive no score for the test if he does not make a persuasive argument in his application.

In the event that students do not pass IIMK's internal examination, they will be required to submit a reexam at the end of each semester and pay an admission fee. It is necessary to repeat the whole semester's course before graduating if you fail two Internal Tests in different semesters.
