Yes, VIT Pune was in the NIRF rankings but it was not in the top 100. In 2017, also, it is there in the rank band of 151-200 only. For that, you may refer:

College of engineering- Pune, MIT- Pune were listed in the top 100 among the engineering rankings of 2017.

Your rank is far beyond to get admission in any campuses of VIT University. However, try via management quota if you are inclined to get admission in VIT only.
