GITAM, Visakhapatnam is a good place to be. If you are really interested in studies you have the whole library with very good books for you. If you are not interested in studies you have the whole city to enjoy. Visakhapatnam is heaven on earth.
Placements: better not to be very optimistic about core companies. CSE IT get good amount of companies. Mechanical electrical civil. Same old story. Just 10% get placed in a core company. Same is the situation everywhere.
Faculty: just like any other institute in the world, some professors are fabulous and some are not any better than to take attendance. According to me it's the student who has

No, you will get admission in VIT only if you write VITEEE exam only, no admission is possible another way unless you get admission in NRI quota or politics quota. Hope this helps.
