Columbia accepts around 4 applications for every 100 it receives. Its acceptance rate was 4.29% for the Class of 2029. NYU accepts twice the number of applications, at an 8% acceptance rate. You would have to work hard to get into either. However, at NYU you have a better chance.

Columbia University does not set any minimum eligible scores for international students who want to join the MS programs. But, it is needed for the students to make sure to score above 320 on the GRE and over 700 on GMAT for successful admission.
Also, students who scored nicely and performed well academically and were involved in relevant internships may get some sort of relief in standardized test scores.

Sure, you can pursue a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in neuroscience in which you would study about nervous system and biological mechanisms of brain. As your interest is inclined towards medicine and research this would be a great choice. In foreign universities like Columbia and Harvard, there is better exposure and reasearch opportunities. The application process for the admission in first year can be done from the official website of the university ie. through common application (1 Aug) or coalition application (15 Aug).

Choosing a BA in Neuroscience at Columbia over and above a BS will ultimately impact your future in research or in medicine, but it never prevents success. A BA generally places more emphasis on critical thinking and communication that are important in any health care and policy setting; however, a BS most often gives a better preparatory base in technical and quantitative skills for laboratory research and advanced scientific study. If your goal is to pursue a career in medicine or research, consider complementing your BA with relevant experiences, such as internships or research projects, to enhance your qualifications.
