The upper limit for fees was 170000 and lower limit for fees was 121000 in the year 2017. though it changes every year.

Yes, you can get admission in private unaided engineering colleges in Karnataka via this entrance test. There are certain eligibility criterias that one need to possess but nothing special in them. COMED-K is the common entrance test that happens in Karnataka for the entire nations. You can get admission to any college here based on your rank. Unlike other entrances it doesn't have negative marking. But, it is highly competitive for the same reason. So, the benefit of getting a seat through this process is it adheres to a standard admission and yearly fees throughout the state and no donations need to be given. If you get into some good college it might boost your career. So, if you are thinking to give do consider the previous year's question paper for both KCET and COMED-K. Also try giving PESSAT.

Yes, NCERT is highly recommended for COMEDK examination, as most of the questions came from there only, however you must also solve previous years question papers to have much better insights of the questions being asked. All the best.
