At 45000 rank and belonging to SC category you can easily get a NOT for B.Tech. You can go to government college like NIT Durgapur, NIT Goa, NIT Agartala and many more northeast and other states NITs also .

Yes, it is totally worth it, as you would be called in Vellore for placements where you would be getting an equivalent chance as a student of VIT, Vellore will get. COMEDK colleges for CSE better than VIT Bhopal CSE for rank 12.5k.

With a rank of 3283 in COMEDK 2023, your son has a reasonably good chance of securing admission to the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch in COMEDK participating colleges.
