Most of the COMEDK UGET toppers prefer or choose from the following top engineering colleges for BTech admission -

• RV College of Engineering
• BMS College of Engineering
• PES University
• MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology
• Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering

A score of 71 in COMEDK UGET is considered a moderate score.

• Based on previous marks vs rank trends, one can expect a COMEDK rank around 20,000 to 25,000.
• You may not get top-tier colleges like RVCE or BMSCE for core branches like CSE or ECE, but you can still get admission in decent private engineering colleges in Karnataka, possibly for branches like Civil, Mechanical, or IT.
• Backup plan - Participate in all rounds of COMEDK counselling and keep backup options open like KCET or other private exams.

Yes, it is not possible to get a CSE seat at CMR College of Engineering and Technology with a TS EAMCET closing rank of 16000. In 2025, for CSE admission, the cutoff ranged from 6477 to 49403 for the students belonging to the General AI category. However, in the initial round, the cutoffs are more competitive for admission. So yes, candidates with a cutoff rank of up to 5000 can get admission at PESITM in AI and Machine Learning. 

R V College of Engineering accepts COMEDK scores for admission to the BE/ BTech courses. As per the COMEDK Round 2 cutoff, the ranked ranged between 328 and 15050 wherein BE in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive specialisation for the General AI category students. So, considering the 2024 cutoff candiates must secure a rank up to 15050 to secure a seat at R V College of Engineering for BE/ BTech admission.
