The ETH entrance examination has to be taken by all applicants whose qualifications do not fulfill the criteria for regular admission. This involves subjects like:
Mathematics I + II
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
German
Second modern foreign language
History
Geography
Language of examination - The language of examination is German. Hence a good command of any specialised terminology in German is a prerequisite.

You will not be able to get either CSE or Mechanical as both of these branches close fast. If you do have a home state quota, you might get admission into these branches in later rounds. I would recommend you look into IIIT Una as it has the same faculty and campus as NIT Hamirpur and is also a government institute. You can get admission into CSE or ECE engineering in IIIT Una with your rank.

It is tough to get in NITs or IIITs or GFITs. You can try in private colleges.

Hi Santosh, in the first year you don't have to do the internship as they have the internship in the second year. The criteria for placements are good. Different companies come for campus selection. As per my knowledge placements are good in Amity Kolkata.
