To get a good college for CSE or any other engineering branch, you are advised to appear for the exams like JEE, VIT, BITSAT, SRM, etc. in addition to your board exams. These are some of the national level institutions that had a good ranking and offer better education when compared to other universities.
If you want to opt for CSE, you just try to clear JEE main and advanced to get IIT Bombay as it is the no. 1 institution for CSE and yes you can study any course in any IIT.
Then if you write BITSAT, you can get BITS, Pilani which is the best among the private universities and is after IITs which is best for all the courses and CSE also.
Then the other exams will lead you to a good college from where you can opt for CSE. SASTRA University is also good for CSE.
