In mechanical department, 60% students were placed. Maximum package is 12 LPA and the average is 5.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are tally, Zoho, solutions 69 and Robert Bosch, etc. Coimbatore institute of technology is well known for students' freedom.

The institute has partially released department-wise placement statistics for the year 2023. As of now, the highest package offered to CSE department during placements 2023 stood at INR 35 LPA (Ongoing). Apart from this, the highest package offered to Chemical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering students was INR 8 LPA and INR 17.50 LPA during CIT Coimbatore placements 2023, respectively. The placement rate recorded for Chemical Engineering branch was 70%.
