Hi Sumati, yes, you are eligible to appear for both Paper I and Paper II of the CTET exam after completing B.Ed. For Paper I (Classes 1–5), you'll need to do a 6-month Bridge Course later if selected. For Paper II (Classes 6–8), you're fully eligible without any extra requirement.

If you took admission in D.Ed in May 2025, then in July–August 2025 you will be in 1st year.

CTET lets in the handiest final or 2nd-year students.

So, you'll not be eligible in July–August 2025.

Yes  if you are from Uttar Pradesh and if you have 85 marks in the CTET exam you are totally eligible for the KVS examination.

Yes, you can appear for the KVS PRT exam with 85 marks in CTET as an OBC candidate.CTET Qualification for OBC catagory the minimum qualifying marks  for CTET are 82 out of 150 (which is 55 percent) and since you have got 85 marks then congratulations you have cleared the CTET requirement

The latest syllabus for CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is divided into two papers: Paper 1 (for classes 1-5) and Paper 2 (for classes 6-8). Both papers cover Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, and Language II. Paper 1 also includes Mathematics and Environmental Studies. Paper 2 has Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Sciences. The NCET (National Common Entrance Test) is becoming compulsory for admission to the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP), which includes BA B.Ed, in many central and state universities, including possibly DAV University, for the 2025-26 academic session. To be eligible for CTET, you must be an Indian citizen and at least 18 years old.

For Paper I (Classes 1–5), you need to pass 12th with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a 4-year B.El.Ed.

For Paper II (Classes 6–8), you need a graduation with 50% marks and a B.Ed or equivalent degree. If you belong to SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories, you get 5% marks relaxation.

Your first language being Telugu and studying in English medium is not a problem for CTET. What matters is your educational qualification. To be eligible, you must have completed or be pursuing a D.El.Ed or B.Ed course.

Nursing (ANM, GNM, or BSc Nursing) alone doesn't make you eligible, as CTET is meant for teaching roles and requires a recognised teacher training qualification. You can apply once you have that.
