Your CTET certificate will be effective only if you are eligible at the time of result announcement. As you have an ATKT in the first year of D.El.Ed, you need to clear it in order to meet the minimum qualification criteria. If you clear the ATKT after one year of the CTET exam, your certificate should remain valid, subject to the fact that you become eligible retrospectively. Yet, certain hiring authorities might demand evidence of qualifications completed at the time of application for employment. It's always better to check with CTET authorities or your state education board for verification.

Yes,  Mathematics is an option in the CTET Paper 2 exam. CTET Paper 2 is meant for candidates who wish to teach classes VI to VIII. The exam consists of four sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, and either Mathematics & Science or Social Studies/Social Science. You may select Mathematics & Science as your subject.

If you want more information regarding the syllabus or exam pattern, you can refer to the official CTET syllabus.

Hope this Helps!

Yes, you can apply for CTET TGT Exam. Make sure you are fulfilling eligibility criteria and then must apply for it.

Since you have a BSW degree, the closest TGT subject for you would be TGT Social Science, where the combination typically includes:

  1. History + Geography
  2. Political Science + Economics

Yes! If you want a government teaching job, you must clear the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) or State TET (Teacher Eligibility Test).

  • If you want to teach students of Classes 1-5 (Primary Teacher – PRT)then you have Clear CTET Paper 1.
  • If you want to teach students of Classes 6-8 (Upper Primary – TGT) then you need to Clear CTET Paper 2 (after D.El.Ed + Graduation).
  • State TET exams like UPTET, Bihar TET, MP TET, etc. are mandatory for state government teaching jobs.

As of first week of February, 2025, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet released specific dates for the next Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in 2025. Historically, CBSE conducts the CTET twice a year, typically in July and December. The most recent CTET was held in December 2024, with admit cards released two days prior to the examination dates.

CBSE usually releases CTET admit cards approximately two days before the scheduled exam date. For instance, for the December 2024 exam held on December 14 and 15, the admit cards were made available on December 12 and 13, respectively.
