Yes, you can pursue 2 degrees simultaneously. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has finally given the go-ahead to students to pursue two-degree courses simultaneously.

Hi,
First of all, D.Ed holds a lot of importance for the aspirants who're passionate about getting into teaching field. Let's begin with the colleges that offer D.Ed:

D.Ed, B.Ed and M.Ed are different courses, unless mentioned in Special Education", are considered regular courses done to teach the regular children in the mainstream schools. If it is special education, it would be mentioned as D.Ed in special Education, B.Ed in Special Education or M.Ed in Special Education. Hello,
To answer your question, both the courses aims to prepare teachers for the elementary stage of education, I.e. classes I to VIII. The aim of elementary education is to fulfill the basic learning needs of all children in an inclusive school environment bridging social and gender gaps with the active participation of the community.
Technically, there is no difference except the course name.
Both courses are designed for Elementary Teacher Training I.e. Upper Primary (Class VI to VIII).
Students may join D.Ed or D.El.Ed course after class 12th (Senior Secondary).

D.Ed (Diploma in Education) course is for the students who have completed their class 12th with at least 50% marks. In this course candidates learn about the basic of education system, school and workshop based activities. By doing this course candidates can get job in elementary schools.
Doing Masters course in Education increases the value of the degree. The candidate is eligible for CBSE UGC NET exam and after clearing this exam they can get jobs in reputed colleges of India and top 6% candidates of this exam will get chances for research and for assistant professor.
