Yes, The D.Ed Course is recognised by NCTE also known as National Council for Teacher Education. That means D Ed Course graduates receive a nationally accepted teaching qualification. The eligibility criteria for the DEd programme is that candidates should clear Class 12th in any stream from a recognised board with a minimum of 50 percent - 60 percent aggregate marks.

Normally, the fee structure in INR for District Institute for Education and Training, Kamrup for Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) contains these elements:
1. Tuition fee - Between 5,000 and 10,000 per annum.
2. Examination fee- Measures 1,000-2,000/year approximately.
3. Other Fees-
Library Fee- Between 500 and 1,000 per annum.
Caution Deposit- Between 500 and 1,000 (refundable).
Miscellaneous Fees- About 2,000-3,000 (includes activities, development charges, etc.).
