In order to get admission to BDes at Somaiya School of Design, students must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria before applying for the course. Admission to this course is entrance-based. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must qualify for either UCEED/ NID DAT/ NIFT/ PERA-CET/ NATA/ JEE Main Paper-2 entrance exam. The final selection is based on the score of entrance and performance of candidates in Essay Writing, Team Activity and PI round, conducted by the institute.

Nevertheless, admission in the programme is competitive, the candidate must pass the Class 12 examination from a recognised board.
