Once students have filled out the application form for NIFT Bangalore BDes admissions, they are required to appear for the in-house entrance test. At the time of the exam, students must carry the NIFTEE admit card. Once the exam is conducted, students must wait for the release of the cutoff list. Those who meet the cutoff are further required to take part in the counselling process.

NIFT Bangalore inducts students to its BDes programme via the NIFT Entrance Exam. For admission to the 2025 batch, this test was conducted by NTA on Feb 9, 2025. Moreover, NTA has also released the entrance exam results. Students who took the exam can check their results and download their scorecards by using their login details on the official website.

The results are intimated to the students through the admission microsite. A soft copy of the admission letter is uploaded online. No hard copy is issued or sent through the post. Hence, a student is advised to keep a regular check on the admission microsite for all admission-related updates. No, the BDes program's admission requirements are entrance-based. Admission to the NIFT Shillong BDes programme is determined by an applicant's performance on the NIFT Entrance Exam. Candidates who make the short list based on their exam results are invited to a round of in-person interviews, which is followed by counseling. There is no provision of direct admission to the courses at NIFT Shillong.

To register for the admission test, applicants for NIFT Shillong must go to the institutes official website. Candidates' performance in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance test, which consists of the General Ability Test (GAT) and the Creative Ability Test (CAT), determines their admission to the NIFT Delhi BDes programme.
