Hello Pooja,
After passing intermediate or 10+2 one has to study Science subjects, such as food and nutrition, food Science and food technology. After passing graduate degree in any one of the above subject a Masters degree in Nutrition is required. After having post graduation degree for your betterment a doctoral degree will certainly add feather in your cap. You have to also appear in RD exams to become a registered dietician.

Hi Shreya,
The students from any background can enroll into a dietician course. But, the colleges have different requirements. Some colleges prefer students with PCMB or PCB. You have to check the requirements. You are also eligible for certificate or Diploma courses before opting for a Bachelor's degree.

The first and basic qualification required for a Ph.D. course is that you must have completed your Master's degree course. To apply for Ph.D. you can either directly apply to the professors of different universities sending them your resume, statement of purpose and your research papers. Or you can appear for UGC-NET examination and then sending your NET scores to the professors under whom you want to undergo your Ph.D. course.
