Absolutely you can do a BBA in Marketing and also learn skills like digital marketing, graphic design, and AI separately. I think this approach is very much recommended because it combines strong business knowledge at foundation level with practical & technical skill that are in-demand.

It will impact your CV but in a positive way as the recruiters will think you are self driven, adaptable & are willing to keep up with trends of the industry and you will have a edge.

Hope this helps!

Hi, I'm Sandhya, and as a digital marketer, I believe the scope of digital marketing in India is huge due to swift internet growth and increasing online businesses. Every company today needs digital marketing for branding, leads, and sales, which creates high demand for skilled professionals.

As a career, digital marketing offers multiple roles like SEO, social media, PPC, and content marketing with strong growth opportunities. In India, freshers can earn around ₹2.5 - 4 LPA, and experienced professionals can earn ₹6–12 LPA or more depending on skills and expertise.

Choosing between Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing depends on whether you want specialised or broad skills. Social Media Marketing focuses only on social platforms, while Digital Marketing covers SEO, ads, content, email, and analytics . For wider career opportunities and practical exposure, a comprehensive programme like the Skillfloor Digital Marketing course is a smarter choice.

As a senior, I'd advise you to prioritize Digital Marketing because that is where the aggressive salary growth lies (potentially hitting ₹10 LPA+ in 3–4 years versus the stagnant ₹3–4 LPA of a typical M.Com fresher), but since you have a solid 77% in B.Com, you shouldn't abandon your academic safety net entirely. The smartest move is a Hybrid Approach: enroll in an M.Com via Distance/Online (like IGNOU or LPU Distance) to keep your eligibility open for future government exams or UGC-NET, while dedicating your actual daily energy to a rigorous, portfolio-based Digital Marketing course. This way, you follow your passion without c

As a B.Tech dropout, you can pursue a digital marketing course to learn the basics like SEO, social media marketing, and online advertising from scratch, since this field is skill-based and values practical knowledge over degrees, helping you start a job or internship with the right training and practice.
