Admission to M.Sc is based on merit only. There is no need for a URATPG score for admission to the course. The selection is done based on the graduation score only.
- To get admission one must have, a B.Sc degree with a minimum of 50% marks(10+2+3).
- Candidate should have Agriculture/Botany/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Pharmacy/ Zoology as one of the subjects in B.Sc.
The course includes Personal Interviews as a part of the selection process. After candidates are shortlisted based on graduation scores, they need to appear for the PI and the final selection will be based on this PI.

However, aspirants might also need to clear entrance exams such as CUET UG for the same. Numerous entrance exams are conducted to select candidates for BSc Biotechnology Admission, and some of those are AIEEA, JNU CEEB, IPU CET (GGSIPU CET), AIIMS entrance exam, etc. However, BIBT Jaipur grants admission on the basis of merit, evaluated on the basis of candidates' Class 12 scores.
