No, entrance exam is not mandatory to get admission in BIBT Jaipur. Admission to all the UG and PG courses are granted based on candidates past academic merit obtained in Class 12 and graduation level examination. Selected candidates have to also pass the personal interview round for admission.

No, mathematics is not necessary for applying to BSc in Biotechnology at Dr. B Lal Institute of Techonology. Candidates must have passed their Class 12 (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics/ Agriculture) with at least 50% aggregate from a recognised board in Rajasthan, such as CBSE 12th, ISC, RBSE 12th and 60% aggregtae from outside Rajasthan for BSc Biotechnology programme.

Admission to M.Sc is based on merit only. There is no need for a URATPG score for admission to the course. The selection is done based on the graduation score only. 

  • To get admission one must have, a B.Sc degree with a minimum of 50% marks(10+2+3).
  • Candidate should have Agriculture/Botany/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Pharmacy/ Zoology as one of the subjects in B.Sc. 

The course includes Personal Interviews as a part of the selection process. After candidates are shortlisted based on graduation scores, they need to appear for the PI and the final selection will be based on this PI.

According to the alumni of the institute, reputable and well-known companies like Horiba, Lab Asia, Triviton and many more visit Dr. B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology for placements. These companies recruit students either for internships or full-time jobs. The highest package for BSc students is INR 50,000 and the lowest is INR 15 LPA to INR 20 LPA .  Students who have passed their Class 12 in the Science stream with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to study BSc Biotechnology. However, aspirants might also need to clear entrance exams such as CUET UG for the same. Numerous entrance exams are conducted to select candidates for BSc Biotechnology Admission, and some of those are AIEEA, JNU CEEB, IPU CET (GGSIPU CET), AIIMS entrance exam, etc. However, BIBT Jaipur grants admission on the basis of merit, evaluated on the basis of candidates' Class 12 scores. Interviews: Students must appear in the interview and group discussion after the entrance exam/ after relase of merit

Placements: In the previous batch,  approximately 80%–90% of students were placed. Some of them are entrepreneurs. The placement club conducts personality-boosting and skill-development sessions. It is very helpful.

Yes, B.Sc. Degree (Pass course or Hons.) under the 10+2+3 scheme with Agriculture/Botany/
Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Pharmacy/ Zoology as one of the subjects.
A minimum of 55 % of aggregate marks for the candidates of Universities in Rajasthan state,
60% marks for candidates from any University outside the State of Rajasthan.
ii. As per the University of Rajasthan norms, if seats remain vacant in the college, the girl candidate is given the reduction of 5% in the minimum percentage for admission.
