MAM (or AE) branch have around 90 students in their batch. And every year the number of students in this branch are increasing say by 10. Well, getting into DTU is not that difficult. Getting a score of 180+ will be safe for this branch. About placement, I will be honest, out of 90 students only about 7-10 students get placed in automotive companies. 5-8 students get placed in core mechanical companies. About 10-14 students get into non-tech companies. Rest of the students either go for Civil services or higher studies.

DTU is far better than APIIT Panipat for pursuing B.Tech CSE. Many of my friends are pursuing B.Tech CSE from DTU and have always given positive remarks.

Private colleges use money to get higher rankings. For glance, SRM is placed 2nd or 3rd in such ranking. But, do you think placement and education in SRM is better than IITs, which are placed lower than SRM? I am not saying that Thapar University is a bad choice, but DTU is a state government College of Delhi. But, the quality of DTU is gradually decreasing because of increase in intake of students every year. Other reasons considered are average quality of faculty, No renovation of labs, No change in infrastructure, Hiked in yearly fees (about 1.5lacs per year worth increase of 10% in subsequent year), etc.
