Yes , it necessary to clear the exam. You can apply for the course , you want to join and then can attend the entrance exam , accordingly you will be placed in the desired course based on your marks. Some courses in GGU don't have any entrance exam , As the strength of the students is less.

Both the courses you are talking about are way apart from each other and has their own importance in their respective field. I would suggest you to look forward with your area of interest and subjects you like to study. Also look forward which type of job fascinates you and then accordingly decide your career plan. Talking about B.Sc. In Biotechnology will give you a graduation degree, you have to look forward with Masters separately.
