Yes, if you have completed Class 12 in Science stream, you can apply for Macroeconimcs courses. Most bachelor's level Economics courses are open to students from all streams. However, some courses may allow you only if you have studied Mathematics as a subject in Class 12.

In Assam, you can do a B.Sc in Economics from different universities such as:-
- Gauhati University: B.Sc in economics with very good syllabus.
- Dibrugarh University: The university provides an undergraduate degree in Economics.
- Assam University, Silchar: Offers BSc in Economics with research and development activities.
- Tezpur University: Offers a few Undergraduate courses which include Economics.

As many colleges require it for undergraduate programs, you can apply for admission based only on your CUET score. If you don't meet the CUET requirements, though, some schools offer management quota seats, which might let you in based on your performance on the entrance exam or your Class 12 grades. No, it is not compulsory. Howevr, it is an added advantage if the student studied Maths in Class 12. Mathematics is a core subject for BA Economics at Jindal School of Government and Public Policy, and there are various courses purely based on the mathematical arena. Math and statistics are used in economics.
