Lambton is a reputed college and has good contacts with several companies for its co-op options. Chances are good but getting a job will completely depend on your own skills and academic performance. You need to be a graduate in engineering or equivalent (E.g. BE/ B.Tech/ 4 year B.Sc engineering/ AMIE/ DoEACC B Level, etc.) in IT, computer science, electronics, telecommunications, electrical, instrumentation or related areas.

Currently, placements in IT industry is better in comparison to embedded systems. However, IT industry has started showing an early sign of decline because of outcry against outsourcing in the Western world. Therefore, I will recommend you that you opt for your core engineering in embedded systems.
