You are eligible to seek admission in B.Tech in aeronautical engineering lateral entry at Manipal University based on your Diploma in mechanical engineering. You may refer to university website for admission details.

The total 4 years tuition fee is 7.19k and I don't know about the hostel fee.

Both RV College of Engineering, Bangalore and SRM University, Chennai are potential colleges. However, comparing the placement of both the colleges, I would rate SRM University, Chennai better than RV College of Engineering. In RV College of Engineering, mostly students of computer-related fields are able to get placed in a company of the same field. However, in SRM University, major companies of all fields recruit students. Therefore, I would suggest you opt for SRM University rather than RV College of Engineering.

To apply for Software Engineering, you should have Science subjects in your 12th standard. As you have completed 12th from commerce stream, I'm afraid you aren't eligible for Engineering.

Fees for 1st year is 87,560 INR. You can pay this amount in 2 instalments.
