No, I do not think direct entry into the 2nd year would be allowed in most institutions. Lateral entry into a different college is only permitted once you have begun your course in B.Sc and have completed your 1st year in B.Sc. You can then apply for lateral entry into a different college in your second year.

After completing engineering, we have a lot of options to go with. If we talk about competitive exams, there are a good amount of options present. A lot many people go for GATE. Some go for CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION. You can also go for MS through GRE. Options like ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMINATION, INDIAN STATISTICAL SERVICE EXAM, NDA, IES, etc are also available.
MBA has also been a good career option for Engineers. You can also go for MBA through exams like CAT,XAT,CET,IIFT,SNAP,CMAT,etc.

Yes, you should be able to pursue B.Sc in radiotherapy after your Diploma provided you meet the minimum requirements to gain admission in B.Sc.
B.Sc Radiotherapy eligibility:
1) 10+2 (Medical) or equivalent with 55% marks.
2) Few institutes conduct entrance exam for admission.

That is a bit wrong probably your parents don't know the whole story. Automobile has a lot of scope. So here's what you do:
Go to Shiksha.com and then search for IITs, go for automobile course and look at their placement, it would be in Lacs and in very good companies. Get in touch with some seniors or relatives who have done automobile engineering and share their success stories. Prove that automobile has a scope. Well, there are many other courses which have even more scope like CS but do what you love and do it from the best college like IITs. Happy to help you! Follow your dreams.
