With reference to the placement record of B.Tech (Plastics Engineering) students for 2023, the highest package at CIPET, Ahmedabad, hovers around INR 6-7 LPA. Some of the major recruiters are polymer and manufacturing firms like Reliance Industries, ExxonMobil, and PlastIndia for jobs like process engineering, quality control, and R&D.

Average packages hover between INR 3-4 LPA, and placement statistics show 70-80% placements for B.Tech and Diploma programs. The placement cell offers training in technical skills and interviews, utilizing CIPET's links with industry in plastics technology. M.Tech and Diploma students do find jobs in niche areas, but these pay less (INR 2-3 LPA).

Admission to B.E./B.Tech for CIPET, Ahmedabad without JEE Main can be done via GUJCET or CIPET-JEE. Candidates must possess at least 45% in 10+2 for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (35% for reserved category).

The seat distribution states that 50% of the seats will be filled via GUJCET scores through ACPC counseling (the last date being May 20, 2025), while the rest will be filled through the CIPET-JEE, which is conducted by the institute itself. This institute, LDRP Institute of Technology and Research, Gandhinagar, is a private college set up in 2005 under the Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal. The registration process gets completed at MHT CET followed by application submission through the DTE portal and college selection. Management quota seats give a chance for direct admission by contacting the admission office, subject to eligibility and availability.
