There are around 810 Structural Engineering colleges in India that are known for their learning space, teaching expertise, practical exposure, and placements and enjoy a decent ranking in India. There are around 114 government colleges, including the IITs, NITs, DTU, Jadavpur University, College of Engineering (Pune), and IIEST Shibpur. Coming to more than 680 private colleges for Structural Engg. courses, VIT Vellore, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, BITS Pilani, Chandigarh University, and Thapar University are a few popular ones.

The Structural Engg. coursework module is not similar across all Indian colleges. The syllabus varies on the basis of the course level at which you're studying the course and the college. Each college and university is known for its unique coursework that obviously includes core subjects, electives, project work, and industrial training.
Having said that, the concepts taught in classes are more or less similar despite the variation in subjects to provide you with the foundational knowledge of the field.

Hello candidate, the answer to this question is quite subjective and cannot be said with any certainty. If you are really invested in the field of Structural Engineering and plan on pursuing a career in the same field, you might consider going for an MTech degree in Structural Engg. that will give you an upper hand in terms of knowledge and career prospects.

The Production Engg. salary for graduates in India varies on the basis of parameters like the academic background, experience, skill set, and the company location. Talented freshers with the right skill set can easily earn around INR 4 LPA. After getting 2 to 3 years of experience, you can expect an average package of INR 5 LPA to INR 8 LPA. There are around 440 Production Engineering colleges in India, out of which around 268 are private colleges, 122 fall under government jurisdiction, and the rest 8 are public-private colleges. Some popular student choices for private colleges include Thapar University, LPU, Birla Institute of Technology (Mesra), PSGCT Coimbatore, and Ramaiah Institute of Technology.

The Production engineering syllabus is not the same across all colleges. The syllabus structure varies on the basis of the course level at which one is studying the course and the institution offering the course. This is because every college abides by certain coursework guidelines that are set by the college committee at the beginning of the academic year to provide students with quality education and research exposure.

In India, B.Tech in Bioinformatics is generally a better option for jobs compared to Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech in Biotechnology because it combines biology with computer science, making it easier to get jobs in IT, pharma, and data-related roles, which are growing fast. While biotechnology is more research-focused and often needs higher studies for good jobs, bioinformatics offers quicker job opportunities and better flexibility. The jobs in biotechnology are generally low pay, so bioinformatics seems a better option job wise. Otherwise both are good in their respective roles.

Currently, the dates for the commencement of classes for the BE batch 2025 have not been released at the official website of the ACS College of Engineering. However, as per the previous academic calendar, the classes commenced on September 1, 2024. Therefore, it can be anticipated that for this academic year, the classes will commence on similar dates.
