Yes, of course. You can get lateral entry admission to the BTech Information Technology course if you have a 3-year engineering Diploma in a relevant course with at least 50% marks in the final exams. The lateral entry provision allows you to directly enter the 2nd year of the BTech IT course and complete the degree in 3 years. The time taken in the BTech IT admission process varies from college to college. Every college follows certain admission guidelines decided by the college committee for giving admission to several courses. It can easily take up to a few months for you to get the final seat at a decent college.
