It is not possible to get into IIIT Bhubaneswar with 70000 rank under the General AI quota, as the IIIT Bhubaneswar JEE Main cutoff 2024 for the General AI quota stood between 39049 and 69502. However, it is possible to get into the institute with 40000 rank and the cutoff for the OBC quota stood between 55106 and 88047.

The latest JECRC University BTech placement report has not been released. However, according to the overall report, over 2,230 offers were issued during 2025 placements. The topmost and average packages given to students in the placement drive 2025 were INR 33 LPA and INR 6 LPA, respectively. A total of 140 companies visited the campus as well. Additionally, more than 800 students were placed with a salary package of more than INR 7 LPA. The topmost package was provided by Amazon.

JECRC University and SOA University can be compared for BTech based on different parameters. The JECRC University BTech tuition fee ranges from INR 3.5 lakh to INR 7 lakh, which is more affordable compared to SOA University's BTech tuition fee, which ranges from INR 5.1 lakh to INR 12.2 lakh. Given fees is as per the official sources and are still subject to change.

Based on the India Today ranking, the university 226 in 2023 in the 'Engineering' category. The Times has ranked JECRC University in 52th rank in 2023.
