If you are appearing for the IPU CET entrance test for B.Tech Computer Engineering via lateral entry after your diploma, solving last year's question papers can be of great use. The papers will provide you with a sense of the pattern of the exam, the type of questions asked, and the level of difficulty. You can search for sample papers from coaching centers or use standard books on Diploma level covering topics in engineering mathematics, applied physics, and computer Science basics. Practice regularly, and reviewing major concepts will enhance your speed and accuracy.

With your 10th and 12th marks, admission to Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in premier colleges may not be easy, but you have choices. Most private colleges and universities provide direct admission on the basis of 12th marks or through management quota. You may also consider diploma-to-degree (D2D) courses if you're willing to begin with a diploma. Few colleges have their own entrance exams that may provide an opportunity to gain admission. Study colleges that follow liberal admission processes and prepare for enhancing skills via certifications to support your profile.

The period of a B.Tech programme by distance education typically takes between 4 and 6 years, varying from one university to another and also based on the mode of study. Nonetheless, according to AICTE policies, B.Tech by distance education is not recognised in India. In case you desire flexibility in studies, you can check out part-time, evening, or work-integrated B.Tech programs that are available from some universities.

The IES (Indian Engineering Services) exam currently has four streams: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. But, Unfortunately there is no dedicated Computer Science stream in IES.
Since as you are from a CSE background, the closest option is Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (ECE) as it includes topics related to digital electronics, communication, and some computing concepts. However, many core CS subjects like programming and databases are not covered in IES.
Hoping this would help.

If you've just appeared for JEE Main and wish to prepare for JEE Advanced, begin by clearing your fundamentals from NCERT books. Practice questions from books such as HC Verma (Physics), MS Chauhan (Organic Chemistry), and Cengage (Math). Attempt past year papers of JEE Advanced and practice mock tests for enhancing speed. Prepare short notes for quick revision and emphasize weak areas. Attending a test series can help monitor progress.
The simple approach is, whatever chapters you think you have strong command on it and are relatively easy and scoring, try to complete them first
All the best, hoping this would help .

Yes, there is. To continue with the JoSAA process and secure a seat in IITs or the NIT+ system, candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee. Document verification will only take place once this fee is paid. Upon receiving a seat for the first time, candidates are required to pay the seat acceptance fee during the relevant round. If the fee is not paid, the candidate will forfeit the offered seat and will not be eligible to participate in any subsequent rounds of the seat allocation process. The JoSAA seat acceptance fee is given below:
Category | Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) |
|---|---|
SC, ST, GEN-PwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD or ST-PwD | INR 17500 |
