With an EWS rank of 8,100 in JEE Main, getting top NITs may be difficult, but you can get branches in newer or lower-ranked NITs. In 2024, NIT Srinagar had closing ranks of 47,482 (Mechanical) and 55,447 (Metallurgical) for EWS. Cutoffs change yearly based on applicants, difficulty, and seats. Participating in JoSAA counseling and checking state-level options is recommended. For exact predictions, refer to last year's cutoff trends on official websites.

Both BMSIT and CIT Bangalore are good options to pursue MTech. However, in terms of affordability, BMSIT is more affordable since the tuition fee to pursue M.Tech at BMSIT is INR 1.5 lakh, and the tuition fee to pursue M.Tech at CIT Bangalore is INR 3 lakh.

Note: The fee mentioned above is as per the official sources. However, it is indicative and subject to change.
