The admission processes are still active for the Amrita University B.Tech programme for the year of admission 2024.

For this phase, the registration will be valid until January 5, 2024, then the candidates can continue with the Phase II registration until April 20, 2024.

All interested candidates who choose the AEEE as their entry point must apply and pay online for the AEEE fee and the registration process of choosing their preferred test center and test date within the test dates.

In addition, applicants will need to submit copies of class 12 marks to apply for the AEEE and an identity proof. The AEEE examination would be conducted in many phases, and candidates would be able to choose their preferred testing schedules during the registration process. The position of being at a CRL rank of 352084 along with an OBC NCL rank of 125766 will not fetch you any good seat in the top NITs, IITs, or any branch such as CSE.

It would be better to start looking for some government engineering colleges in your state and GFTIs.

They would have slightly lower cut-offs than those of NITs and IITs and provide reasonable value for your B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering.

Possibilities could be state engineering colleges across the home state or possibly from adjacent states like UP, Rajasthan, and Jharkhand. Most of those have admission based on the JEE Main score, making it very likely to get a seat in branches under the cutoff from CSE, such as ECE or IT. 

The preparation strategies for JEE Advanced can be penciled down to a month's time span. You should ideally have a JEE Main rank of 180000 and OBC NCL rank of 60000.

It is necessary to follow the syllabus properly and give priority to high-weightage topics first.

 Practice the previous year papers of JEE Advanced in order to familiarize oneself with the format and types of questions. For Physics, there is I.E. Irodov, and R.D. Sharma in Mathematics, to name a few references which shall help in developing problem-solving techniques.

 Mock Tests should continuously be taken to enable actual exam conditions and identify areas that require improvement. In two weeks, you would have to devote time to revising concepts and formulas, and not learning anything new. Timing is very important, so practice speed and accuracy should go hand in hand while practicing.

 The other points to consider for best performance at examination according to the study of smart revision techniques may be a calm mind, adequate sleep, and strong focus.

With such CRL rank of 239633 and EWS rank of 38408 in JEE Mains, there is very little chance of getting through at any of the top NITs, especially in the popular branches like CSE or ECE, whose cut-offs usually touch the skies in state/category quotas.

However, chances can be for admission to some of the newly established or private NITs, although for branches like Civil, Chemical, and the like, which have comparatively lower cutoff marks.

Generally, it should benefit your EWS rank because it has a little lower cutoff than that of the general category.

For most accurate information related to current cutoffs, one must follow official counseling updates: every year according to applicant, as well as test difficulty, NIT cutoff varies. Yet another option you could check out is applying to government engineering colleges or state-level institutions, as they might have relatively lower cutoffs.

Even with such a CRL rank of 487556 and SC category rank 33973, it is rather difficult to procure a seat in the CS branch of any of the top NITs or IITs because there exist much higher cutoffs for them.

Nonetheless, some of the recently established NITs, IIITs, or even state government colleges may still allow you to take admission; particularly if one is SC and, moreover, applying under home state quota (if applicable).

However, CSE is highly competition free at such colleges or branches and as compared to other competitive branches, it would have relatively less cutoff thereby providing you an easy access.

Better be optimistic watching official counseling announcements and stay flexible about the other programs or colleges that could have lower cutoffs but fantastic future possibilities in engineering.
