To qualify for JEE Advanced, you need to be within the top 2,50,000 (including all categories) in JEE Main. The rank considered is the CRL (Common Rank List) rank, not the GEN-EWS rank. Yes, you can get admission to BTech courses at Surya Group of Institutions, Chennai, without TNEA. The college also provides admission to BTech under management quota. To be eligible for the course, the candidate needs to have a minimum of 50% marks in class 12th in a relevant stream.

Following are the requisite documents to be submitted at the time of application to the BE/BTech courses in St. Joseph's College of Engineering and Technology:

1. Academic Record: Mark sheets and certificates of 10 and 12 standards. 
2. Entrance Test Scorecard: Valid KEAM scorecard or score derived from equivalent entrance examination, if applied through another entrance examination.

D.Y Patil International University has a Polytechnic course; Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) offered in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical & Civil stream. The tuition fees of this programme are INR 50,000 for the first year and close to INR 1.5 Lacs for the whole course.
