Minimum qualification for UPSC Prelims exam: The candidate must hold a degree from Government recognised Universities or possess an equivalent qualification. Candidates who are in their final year or awaiting results are also eligible to appear for UPSC preliminary Examination. All such candidates who are likely to appear for IAS exams must produce proof of having passed the said examination along with the application for the main IAS examination. So from above you will be eligible for UPSC Civil Services Prelims exam during the final semester of your B.Tech course.

The AMU B.Tech waiting list above 100 is very difficult to convert in admission. So your chances for admission are very tough.

Doing distance B.Tech is not valid as per UGC guidelines, So please avoid to do this. B.Tech lateral, AMIE or part time. Regular B.Tech are the best available options.

Hi, Admissions to different graduation programs of different branches of engineering in all the IITs are based on the ranking of JEE Advanced. Students also need to give JEE Mains and also obtained marks above the cutoff level to be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. In addition a student is expected to score at least 75% in the board examination to become eligible for admission into IIT. Best wishes.

Hello Priti, for the students who have done their Diploma in engineering concession meaning has been granted when seeking admission for the 4 years graduation course in engineering. Students are given admission directly into the second year of the four year degree course under what is called as the lateral mode of admission. In cyber security after completion of your Diploma then I am afraid this type of concession is not available to you. Hear the Diploma is considered a

Hello Kathyayani, this says almost all the states in India except perhaps tamilnadu have some or the other entrance examination for admission to engineering colleges. The marks obtained in 12th in all these cases is only used as one of the criteria to decide the eligibility of the student to go for engineering. Like for seeking admission in IIT one needs to have 75% in 12th standard. However going by the trends that have emerged of the status of engineering admissions in different states, one can definitely state that if your percentile in any of these entrance exams is say about 60% or more then definitely you will get admission in ae

Hello Vanish, yes this is the dilemma being faced by the students who are on the cusp of clearing their 10th examination. As you are aware there are two routes for completion of engineering graduation. One is routine that is after 10th you go for 12th and then take admission for four year engineering graduation course. The other route is to go for Diploma after 10th class and then go for engineering. In both the ways there is no loss of any year. In addition a student gets an additional qualification of Diploma. I would however advise you go for 12th and then 4 year engineering degree course. Best wishes to you.
