It will work provided the students this year also give exactly similar choices but this is wishful thinking. Students choices keep changing every year and as a result the correctness of the predictor also changes from year to year. But within the limits of its assumptions the predictor works quite well. But considering the number of seats available versus The number of students who are eligible and have applied I am sure you will get one of these branches definitely in one of the colleges.
