An Amazon (38 percentile in JEE Main) is very unlikely to get in NIT or IIITs and most surely can never crack core subjects like CSE. The best bet will be the option of private engineering colleges that have either lowered the JEE marks, or have their own entrance mark or direct admissions through the 12th-grade marks. Explore such universities as Lovely Professional University (LPU), Amity University, Sharda University, Galgotias University or state level private colleges. You may also think about taking state engineering entrance examination (such as MHT CET, KCET, EAMCET, COMEDK etc.) since the cut off may be lower in your percentil

You can apply for the B.Tech ECE at LD Engineering College using GUJCET or JEE Main for the ACPC counseling process. You are eligible with your 48% in PCM as long as you are selected based on the merit of the entrance exam. To apply you will register for the ACPC Portal, you will then need to go through the counseling process, and select LDCE–ECE as your first choice branch.

Having an 76 percentile in JEE Mains and OBC category, it is possible to get a seat in B.E. Mining Engineering course at MBM Jodhpur, but this may be at the borderline. The last instalments of data indicate that in the case of OBC candidates (especially under a home-state quota; Rajasthan), the cut-off mark in less popular branches such as Mining Engineering in MBM Jodhpur can remain between 65-70 percentiles. Cutoffs however vary every year depending on pool and difficulty of papers. This is because you must be effectively a part of the REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) counseling and also monitor the official cutoffs whi

According to JEE Main rank in the range of 72000, general category will be unable to get a seat in CSE in high level NITs (such as Trichy, Warangal or Surathkal). But you stand good odds in CSE/IT in new NITs like NIT Agartala, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, NIT Sikkim, NIT Manipur, NIT Puducherry and NIT Srinagar, especially when you can get a home-state quota or a reserved category. Also, Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) such as Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra; Assam University, Silchar and Tezpur University (in certain courses with respect to the CSE discipline) are also quite probable. With 83 percentile and a 3270 ST category rank, your chances of getting a Civil Engineering seat at a government NIT or IIIT are fair, particularly in later rounds or in institutes located in the North-Eastern regions or newer NITs. You might not get the most popular campuses, but Civil branches are often available as they have slightly lower competition compared to CS or ECE. Keep your choice filling broad and do not hesitate to include spot round options.

PES University in Bangalore usually admits students through its own entrance exam (PESSAT) or through high scores in JEE Main. With a 40 percentile in JEE Main, admission through merit quota would be difficult. However, PES also offers admission through management quota, especially if you are willing to bear a higher fee, which could range between rupees six Lacs to ten Lacs per year depending on the branch. You can also attempt PESSAT to improve your chances.

With a JEE Main rank of 13 lakh, chances of admission through JoSAA counselling are very slim. However, you can still get admission into private colleges, particularly through direct admission or management quota. Colleges affiliated with state universities, or private deemed universities with open admissions, often offer CSE seats if you're willing to explore Tier 3 cities or pay a slightly higher fee. Keep an eye out for colleges that accept board marks or conduct their own entrance tests for such branches.

Having 89-91 percentile of JEE Main, the general category is not expected to get CSE in best NITs (such as Trichy, warangal). Nonetheless, you are a good candidate to CSE/IT in some of the newer NITs (e.g. NIT Agartala, NIT Puducherry, NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, NIT Sikkim, NIT Manipur, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Silchar, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Durgapur), or other disciplines in mid-tier NITs.Where Nirma University is considered, the overall all-India cut-off is normally going to be better, say around 96-97 percentile in the case of CSE. But, in case you have a home state quota (Gujarat), your prospects in Nirma in CSE is high, because hom

Yes, you are eligible to register for JoSAA counselling even if you are not eligible for JEE Advanced. Your 31 percentile and 30,000 rank in ST category allow you to participate in JoSAA, although the chances of getting top NITs may be low. You may have a better chance in NITs from the North-East or in less competitive branches. Make sure to list all available options during choice filling and consider state-level options too.

With an OBC NCL category rank of 1,51,000, it becomes quite challenging to secure a seat in the core branches of NITs or IIITs through JoSAA rounds. However, a few newer IIITs or GFTIs may still have openings in streams like Metallurgy, Production, or even Civil in later rounds. Keep an eye on spot round announcements and also consider private colleges with good reputations and lateral entry or transfer options in the second year.
