Hello R W, no it is not compulsory to go in for graduation in engineering after completion of your Diploma in engineering. Diploma is considered as equivalent to 12th in many states. Hence if your state too has given this then you can join any degree course since eligibility is invariably 12th. In addition I would sincerely advise you that please select that subject for graduation in which you have great interest. Let me say that if you do hard work then success is yours for asking irrespective of which subject you take for graduation. Best wishes to you.
