The performance of college doesn't matter at all for placement. Yes, the reputation does matter, as the companies will visit only if it is a good college or University. Now if the companies are visiting for placements, then the student performance is the only key to crack and got selected in the companies. Also, there is a thing called an offered and availed package. Most MNC's visit colleges and Universities offering a great package, but only a few or None students actually avail that package because of their performance. For example, let's say a company ABC visited XYZ University with an offering of 20 lac per annum package and a requirement of 20 candidates and took interviews. If 500 students sit for placements depending on the performance they will select only 20 students and also the package will differ as per their performance only. I hope this clarifies your doubt.

C-DAC conducts two batches of asked PGD course (starting in February and August) of six months duration during the year. Admission to this program is done through a national level admission test named C-DAC's Common Admission Test (C-CAT).
Eligibility criteria :
1. Graduate in Engineering (10+2+4 or 10+3+3 years) in IT /Computer Science /Electronics / Telecommunications / Electrical / Instrumentation. OR MSc/ MS (10+2+3+2 years) in Computer Science, IT, Electronics. OR
2. Mathematics in 10+2 (exempted for candidates with Diploma + Engineering) OR Graduate in any discipline of Engineering OR Post Graduate Degree in Physics / Mathematics / Statistics OR MCA, MCM OR Post Graduate Degree in Management with graduation in IT / Computer Science/Applications.
3. The candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying examination.

The C-DAC have a centralized placement program where the respective centers actively coordinate the task of organizing the campus interviews for all the students.
So from above you are eligible for this course only because other PGD courses required Graduation in CS/ IT/ Electronics/ Telecommunication etc. Further course is very useful for and give you value addition for employment point of view.

Diploma either in civil engineering or architecture. You would then take admission as a lateral entry candidate and thus for example if it is engineering then you will go directly to the second year of B.Tech as lateral entry thus saving a year and related fee.
