A percentile of 59 will not be enough to get you seat in NIT. However if you are from a state which accepts JEE Mains as entrance exam for engineering colleges of that state then it's a different story. You will definitely get seat. You can use college predictor by Shiksha for JEE Mains to find out about probability of branch and college combination that you are likely to get.
Best wishes to you.

With a JEE score of 57.23 percentile, getting Mechanical or Mechatronics in top NITs or IITs isn't possible. But don't worry—many good private colleges like SRM, VIT, Amrita, and Manipal offer these branches and accept scores in your range. You can also explore state engineering colleges that admit through board marks or state entrance exams. Focus on colleges with good labs and placements.

For MHT-CET, general category students typically need a percentile between 94 and 96. For JEE Main, a good percentile (around 90-95) improves the chances of admission. MIT-WPU also has management and supernumerary seats.

It is unlikely to get ECE at IIIT Kalyani with a General category rank of 72000+. The closing ranks for ECE at IIIT Kalyani, even for the General category, typically fall below 44,000. For instance, in Round 4 of JoSAA 2025, the closing rank for ECE was 43,714. While cutoffs can vary slightly each year, a rank of 72,000 is significantly higher than the usual closing ranks for ECE.

Although your B.Tech in Software may be a high degree, there exists several railway types of jobs, most specifically technician or Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) where the recruitment criteria require an ITI certificate in other fields of works such as Electrician. Online ITI in EEE to fulfill these requirements could only be considered valid in case the course belongs to NCVT/SCVT completely and the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) indeed accept it by name. Online ITI courses on practical courses may not have the practice portion usually required. Do take a closer look at the official notices on railway jobs though the B.Tech by itself m
