To succeed in the Listening section of the PTE exam, make sure that you closely follow the instructions that come before each audio recording. As you listen, write down the important points as you can take help from them in recording your response. If you miss something, don't stress and just focus on understanding the main idea of the question and then respond according to the provided information. 

 
The PTE Academic Listening section contains 8 types of exercises: Summarise spoken text, Multiple-choice, multiple answers, Fill in the blanks, Highlight correct summary, Multiple choice, single answer, Select missing word, Highlight incorrect words, and Write from dictation. In total, there are approximately 18-22 tasks in PTE Listening.

The reading passages vary in difficulty but generally reflect academic and factual texts you might encounter in university settings. The vocabulary level is challenging but manageable with good reading comprehension skills and a strong foundation in academic English.

PTE test takers would be required to use a keyboard and mouse to type their responses on a computer screen. The test interface provides basic editing tools like spell check and thesaurus, but no internet access or external resources are allowed. Ensure you are comfortable typing accurately and efficiently to maximize your writing score.

Test takers will be required to speak into a high-quality microphone and headset provided at the test center. Your responses are digitally recorded and sent for automated scoring. The system assesses various aspects of your speaking, including fluency, pronunciation, intonation, vocabulary, and grammar.

Test takers are advised to get a good night's sleep before the exam and to eat a healthy breakfast. It is recommended to arrive at the test centre 30 min before the exam time to adjust to the surroundings and reduce any nervousness. 

On your PTE Academic test day, bring a valid, original, unexpired ID, preferably your passport. Some centers may accept other government IDs, so check the official website for alternatives.
