The fee for the Duolingo English Test is $59 (less than INR 5000). Those who wish to appear for this test can also purchase a test bundle, where two tests can be attempted by the test takers. The test bundle is available at a discounted price of $49 each (total $98). Purchase a test bundle if you wish to save money, and are not confident in achieving a high score on the first try. After you have made the purchase, you can attempt the first test within 21 days. Once the result for the same is out, one can attempt the second test again within another 21 days. Please note that the test bundle fee is non-refundable. Payment can be done on the Duolingo English Test website via all major credit cards.

Applicants eagerly anticipating the introduction of Pearson's 'PTE at Home' exam version are in for a delightful surprise. They can now register for the 'PTE at Home' test and secure their booking for the PTE Academic online examination. The fee for the PTE at Home test amounts to INR 15,900. It's essential for candidates to understand that opting for the PTE at Home exam entails certain requirements, which candidates must adhere to. These prerequisites encompass:

1. A serene and private test environment.
2. A reliable computer equipped with a webcam.
3. A wired headset.
4. A robust and stable internet connection.
5. Meeting the necessary system requirements: Candidates must download and execute the OnVUE software, which entails a system check through the PTE Academic Online platform before confirming their test schedule.

Candidates planning to take the PTE exam do not need to present any proof of ID at the time of PTE registration process. However, it is advised that you fill in exactly the same information as is there on your valid ID proof or passport. 

On the day of the exam, there will be an ID verification process before the exam, where the candidate must show their ID (valid Indian passport) to the authorities. It is important to note that if there is any discrepancy or if the candidate does not bring their passport on the day of the exam, it may prevent them from appearing for their PTE Academic exam. PTE test takers can expect to receive their PTE scorecard within two working days after taking the test. 

To book a PTE test online, you can follow these steps:

1. Visit the official website of Pearson PTE 
2. Create an account; if you don't already have an account, you will need to create one. Click on "Create Account" and provide your personal information, email address, and password.
3. Once you have created your account, log in with your email address and password.
4. Under "Find Your Test", choose the country you want to take the PTE test for, up next, choose your goal of traveling abroad and then you will be presented with a PTE exam that will be best suited for your needs. 
5. Click on "Book test" and answer a few more questions and then you will be taken to "Pearsonvue" web page wherein you will be able to look for a test centre at your nearby locations. 
6. Select the date and time that you prefer to take the test. Make sure to choose a date and time that is available at your chosen test center.
7. After you have selected your test location and date/time, you will be prompted to book your test.  
8. Before confirming your booking, review your details carefully to ensure everything is correct. Once you confirm your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with your test details and instructions on how to prepare for the test.
9. Pay the PTE Academic exam fee, Rs 18,000 to finally book the test slot.
