Yes, reading books can significantly improve your English speaking skills. It exposes you to a wide range of vocabulary, sentence structures, and grammatical patterns used in natural contexts. This passive learning enhances your understanding of how English is used, which can then translate into more fluent and accurate spoken English. Furthermore, encountering dialogue in books can give you a better sense of natural conversational flow and common expressions.

While no single book guarantees fluency, "The Quick and Easy Way to Effective Speaking" by Dale Carnegie is highly recommended for building confidence and practical speaking skills. It focuses on overcoming fear, structuring talks, and engaging listeners, which are crucial for fluent communication.
Combining this with practice-oriented books like "Practice Makes Perfect: English Conversation" can provide both the foundational techniques and the necessary exercises to improve spoken fluency.
