The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign accepts several English proficiency exams for international students. These include:

1. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
2. IELTS (International English Language Testing System)

4. PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English)

Courses in English Proficiency at the University of Edinburgh

These are some of the accepted English language exams for admissions into the university of Edinburgh:

IELTS Academic-All the components must have a score of not less than 5.5 and have an overall score of 6.5.

TOEFL-iBT-the minimum score which is acceptable is 92 with at least 20 in each section.

Cambridge English-the conditions for acceptance as follows: for C1 Advanced (CAE) or C2 Proficiency (CPE an overall score of 176 with no component lower than) 162.

Trinity ISE: ISE II in distinction across all four conponents.

Gatehouse ESOL International: Level 2 or Level 3 

Tests in English Acceptable to Yale University

TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge English, DET (Duolingo English Test), or InitialView are the English proficiency tests which are required to be taken by all non-native speakers of English who have not completed at least two years of secondary education in English.

This exam helps to evaluate the English proficiency of the applicant and to be able to survive in an academic field where English is the only language of instruction.

Northwestern University accepts the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), and the Duolingo English Test (DET). 

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in English programme at Graphic Era University (GEU) in Dehradun emphasizes advanced understanding of the English language, literature and culture There is no mention of an entrance exam for this programme admission is determined solely by the results of the qualifying exam.

Qualifications:
a bachelor's degree with at least 55% of the possible points from an accredited university.
